A Boxer's life - Food

Yeah.. i finally finished reading Marley & me and boy was it eye opening. The owner,John Grogan had lived a life with his pet dog Marley and i could empatize with that. When Marley died, i almost felt like crying but my manly toughness stopped me in my tracks haha.. But i realised that if u r an animal lover, cat or dog, hamster or bird, iguana or snake, u should always cherish every waking moment spent with your beloved pet.. Soo ill start right now

Tyson, is the only dog that i have ever reared who lives for 2 things and 2 things only, food and walks. Today its about the food part. During normal times, he will just goof around and just sleep due to boredom. But during meal time at 7 to 8pm, he'll start his begging routine.Stage one, Tyson will just lie at the door head up, staring inside waiting for me to feed him. Stage 3, he'll start a soft whimper that is extremly adorable. And lastly, Stage3, a long high pitched cry that is so desperate, it ll make your heart bleed. Tyson has to wait a bit for his dinner because it clashes with my dinner. But boy can the dog eat. I swear no other dog can eat as fast and hard as him. Once i gave him food fit for a pampered king's dog. I went back to fetch the rubbish to throw and there he was waiting and whimpering at the door for round two.And this is another character of his.He is just immune to fullness. Even with with a bolted stomach, he still isnt satisfied. If i ate or any dog ate like him, a ruptured stomach will propably happen. Thankfully i can sternly turn him down without a trace of guilt. Guilty as charged hehe..

Ambition and Dreams

haiz.. I cant decide what to do after my SPM. Everyday at least once ill ponder what will my career and what course or collage will i take. And finally today i think i decided what i want to do. It is healing people..

The idea of being a doctor isnt half bad. i love to help people in whatever way i can, so why not take a medical course. The second option is a better choice but still its not my first choice of a life career. It is veternarian. As u know i love animals and would glady take up this course to get to treat a real living or dying animal plus this choice has a better chance of a job because, being a vet is a very dirty and filthy occupation, so very few people like this job. Pity, so this gives it a high employment rate, hehe..

Haiz, both are such wonderful jobs, but which to do.. which to do..??.. T-T  

For now its going to be a Doctor, for now..

Yesterday was one of the worst day of 2009. Firstly, my tomato and cabbage hit its first agricultural problem =(  My tomatos were a victim of an ?unknown? ailment. It was growing perfectly normal but some of the leafs were cupped.   Solution 1, spray it with mosquito spray or water to kill an unknown bug egg in the leaf.. failed.   Solution 2, water the soil because maybe its a bit too 'salty'..fail.   Solution 3, cut out all the cupped leafs without remorse or mercy, and decided whether to burn it 4 revenge... sucess. I feel the cause is a plant disease which came from a totally infected tomato plant, all yellow and shivered up. Hate Hate Hate

On to the cabbage.. Guess what's the problem.. Insects, wilting, malnutrition, cupped leafs disease..nope, all wrong. The answer is, urination. My loving, caring, empathetic and cute dog/Tyson use my 4 month old cabbage plant the size of a dinner plate, as a fire hydrant. He will urinate on it everyday without fail to show it whose boss. I only noticed this problem when there was a hole in one of the leafs from u know where. There's even some sedimentation on a few leafs, eww..gross. Bad tyson. solution.. put the cabbage on a pot stand a metre off the ground.

other problems include @#$%$ moral project, @#$%$ art project, unfinished tuisyen work, no time for study or relaxation, and SPM.  Ggrrhh

But at the end of the day i still feel bleesed beyond measure with loving parents, brothers, a place to eat, sleep and study, my Lord Jesus Christ, Marley & me, friends to chat on blog & sms, tyson my still loved dog, unknown plant disease and of course my fire hydrant aka cabbage plant. yupp, Life has more pros than cons :D 

 

Champion of Sports

Wahoo, yesterday and today two things made my week besides marley and me. Both are sports.

First, Liverpool, my english football team thrashed Manchester United 4 to 1 at MU home soil Old Trafford. Liverpool I love u..

Second, Chong wei just defeated his arch and feared rival at the Swiss Open 5 minutes ago in straight identical sets.. 21-16, 21-16. Chong Wei, you are the man!     Infomant, my friend Shin yi

Marley & me

Yahooo, i am finally reading Marley & me =) One of my prime hobbies is reading. I started reading when i was form3 right before PMR. The book which cultivated this wonderful addiction of mine is of course, an animal book, no surprise there.. Its about a vet living in a english countryside who tells about his day to day struggles with farm animals with his own vivid description of the cool, scenic and peaceful english countryside scenary and wheather. The book also inspired me to become a vet and also my dad.And to all u romantic book fans, this story also tells how James Herriot, the vet tried and suceeded in marrying one of yorkshire beauties.. I only read the animal chapters "cough "

Back to Marley & me, i was surprised that the story wasnt half bad.. Actually it was fullifing. I didnt know Tyson had an almost identical life as Marley, the worlds most naughty Labrador Retriver. The way i judge a book is how long i stayed glued to its story. Marley & me.... 1 and half hour straight, Sejarah textbook.....5 minutes. John Grogan, the Author, reminds me totally of me as a dog rearer/lover, besides the married, working life and bedroom description scene. Yess, Marley & me has some scenes... but the way Marley enters them are soo funny.. Well thats all for Marley & me, Im curently at chapter 11 and i cant wait to get started. Target 3 hours

Public Speaking

The number 1 fear among humans, besides death, is Public Speaking.. I myself am terrified to speak in front of a crowd of people. I envy those who can go out and just be themselves.. sigh... i just done a group play about an indian epic " Ramayana ". I acted as the number 1 villian the nanny. Boy was i scared. i had to hunchback (pass), speak in a haggered voice(fail), and say what i memorised (mostly pass). During the play i tried me very best to relax and focus and not to think about humiliating myself. Heck, i will still feel stupid no matter how i speak so might as well just go for it. When my turn ended, i felt like a million bucks. There is that rosy feeling after u do a public speaking, similar when u just survived a tiger attack haha.. and this time i didnt felt stupid, i actually felt good.. Now i know, the secret to a good public performance is to just be yoruself and dont care what your mind tells u. I also thank the Lord for helping me relax and just to do my best..Public speaking is also the best way to improve your confidence and self esteem.. maybe ill take up public speaking as a hobby... maybe

News of the week: I finally managed to install a chatbox on my blog. it took me ages to install that @#$%$ gadget and i was going in circles.. Plus putting one is a no brainer.. i hate chatbox.. I HATE CHATBOXES.... pheww. glad i got that out of my system.

Last week was the most tiresome week of 2009. i had to study and study for the schools monthly and i just wanted to get it over with.. looking back, i noticed i wasnt that jam packed.

Last week schedule: 1.mon, study study study eat study eat study zzz.     2.tue = mon   3.wed to fri, monthly test   4.sat to sun, freedooomm

Im soo glad the monthly test just finished. Now i can just sit back and... no.. wait....Spm !!! arrrghh..

why, why, why must study.. oh well, at least i can take a break this coming school holiday.hehe

Im currently planning to read a book that has just been made into a movie. Its called Marley & Me.I heard from two friends, one a doctor,and the other my classmate, that the book is about the life of the most naughty labrador whose simple doggie soul changed the life of a family. Im borrowing it instead of buying because books sold here are very damn expensive.. i hope i dont cry reading Marley & me cuz its also a super emo book  T_T
