A New Year

Welcome all blog readers to my 2009 version of my animal blog. There not much change but this year my aim is to put as many animals especially dogs ( my tyson included, :) haha )on my blog, and to score straight A1 iN SPM. :) But first i MUST LEARN, to stop ponteng or skip school if u dont know BM, it has become my habit to ponteng school when i dont feel like waking up at 6 am everyday. But this year my school teachers especially Pn Arumalar & Sumathi has motivated me to enjoy my school life and studying. Thanks teachers. 

Last year i planted some tomato and cabbage seed and my bro. marcus planted sunflowers. My mom is an expert gardener just like Hilmi in Konserto Terakhir.. maybe ahem better.. She enouraged us to plant vegetables or flowers, so my brother planted flowers and i, cabbages and tomatos.. now after 2 months of waiting we are finally reaping our rewards, actually only my bro is.

Im still have to waiting 4 more grueling months till mine are edible, Argghhh.   

  

Out of 15++ seeds, only one survived. The internet say cabbages are the most easiest vegie to grow, yeah right.

first try but tyson step on all of the seedlings and this is the only survivor.. bad Tyson x(

This praying, i mean preying mantis stayed on ths sunflower for 2 months. Dad says it cant be reared and once it found a place 2 stay, it wont leave. amazing

Trachemys scripta elegans

Guess what does the title above means.. if u guessed its a scientific name of a type of turtle called a red eared slider, also known as green turtle locally, then u are absolutly right !! The reason i'm telling this is that today i will show u one my household pets which is of course a turtle..  my red eared sliders are David and Zechariah and u might be thinking.. why do u give names to a turtle. Well in my opinion, all animals and maybe insects have feelings and emotions, and i feel that they also have character.. that's only my opinion. now back to the topic, the reason i gave my turtle the name is that compared to my brother's turtle is that he is more braver and he loves to explore. He is also quite gentle and when i feed him he'll flap his front legs, waiting for me to feed him..:) My bro named his, Zechariah caz he think it sounds nice.. ?? no offence marcus :)

Turtles are mostly grass eaters but david and zechariah' s species can eat small live fish.. when i feed them they would chase it round and round until they would golble it up. but if i feed them fish their feaces..yuk..will be ten times smellier.euuuwww. i usually feed them turtle pellats but they also can eat greens like kang kong( spinach) and sawi. one time a over ripe mango fell into their aquarium and i didnt notice it until when i went to clean them. thats when i show a piece of thing in the water & i took it out.. there was a large crater with tiny bite marks and the worst thing was that the mango was rotten and had worms crawling in it..gross grosss.. thank god dave & zec survived, they even ate dried leaves!! If tyson ate just a bit of that rotten mango he will live for another 1 week..:(

The Christmas Spirit

Yesterday i woke up i thought what did i just did last night. I looked at the phone, it was 11am. then i remembered i went for my first and probably my last carolling. I came back at 3 am and of course i was damn tired, but i enjoyed myself during the singing of " silent night" ,"deck the hells", and many other wonderful christmas songs. The caroling was organised by my church royal rangers group. I and a group of carollers went by a van with " exceptionally" good shock absorbers to preselected homes to deliver the first wave of the X mas spirit. It was an uplifting experience because i never thought seriously about christmas. Christmas to me is about fOOD & pREsANTS and its a bit shameful caz i was tought that christmas is about the birth of Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. I realised that when singing " Away In a Manger" that Christmas is really, reallyy about peace on earth and good will to men.

I gave my very best caroling ( although its my only one) ever to the 9 homes we covered that cool , christmasy night and when i returned home and crawled on to the bed, I was damn statisfied :)

Although i said i was satisfied there was one thing that thing that really annoyed me during the caroling. there are a few boys who would not stop singing at the back of the van and my ear drums almost burst on the way to each house. But overall i thoughrolly enjoyed myself and the food that the masters of each house provided was excellant xD...

Attack of the chickens

When i came back from my grandma place, my mom ask one of my aunt's whether she could give mom a mother chicken along with her baby chicks.. At first i thought she was joking but thankgoodness she meant what she said. My aunt brought back a beautiful wild mother chicken along with 3 adorable chicks. the chicks reminded me of my family's previous attempt at chick raising which ended in (the following is graphic) the death of the chick by a cat, one of the chicks was mising its head and there was some blood in the garden..

I didnt know chicks or chickens eat grass in their diet.

Now, armed with experience, my mom and brother marcus is taking great care of them in our back garden..

Chicks are just soo cute they would hide under their mother's feather to keep warm at night and when they need air they would pop out their heads.. The mother hen rarely sleeps during the night to guard her chicks, this shows hens are caring and loving mothers.

Today i m going to publish a post 100 % about my pet boxer, Tyson Chong. why i m doing this? caz i can and caz i want to start an animal blog and what better way to start then with my very beloved boxer. Todays title is

I just came back from my grandparents place and i was a bit dissapointed cuz my grandfather's dinner party almost made my ears bleed !! The karaoke songs were chinese songs which was ok but what really ticked me off was the loudspeaker was set at maximum volume.. The food was not bad except that one dish was RM 150 ! Yah u heard me, rm150.. and it was disgusting. I think my auntie no name selected this restoran cuz although the food was expensive ( and yuck), they provide free Karaoke. My grandparent would prefer a restoran that offered simple, delicious food rather than Karaoke !

Sigh... But before the dinner my dad took us to visit Gua Tempurung & Lata Kinjang waterfall. The cave was the best and there wasn't any bat droppings, euuu.. the cave was extremly humid and to my surprise we were the only malaysians there.. Its a pity we locals dont know what we have and yet envy other nations.. Well thats all i have to say and did i mention, my mom is rearing kampung chicken. I ll post it later, till then cheerio.
